For a standard operation, we have to add the gear oil to the gear chamber to cool the gear, and the gear housing will commonly run 10-20 ℃ above the application temperature. Because of this, care needs to be taken to avoid overheating gear housing.

The oil level is too low

Check the sight glass, and supplement oil.

Incorrect oil used

Change to recommended oil.

The pump is run dry

Check the valve and pipes, and fill the fluid in the pump chamber.

Gear housing oil-contaminated

Drain, flush and refill the gear oil. It is necessary to check the gear oil every 500 operating hours, at least once every three months. And change the gear oil every 2000 operating hours, at least once a year.
